it wasn’t always a dark and dull world. We were regular people you could say before machines revolutionized our way of life were actually normal. The year was 2035 in the suburbs of Los Angeles. Serenity a lovely women who was odd but also quizzical with eyes ,when outside, shine bright like diamonds , were pretty much the only ordinary people in the world. Before machines revolutionized, all people were constantly working. The ruler of the machines was obeyed a mysterious short man with gray faded hair which lined up with his wrinkles running across the side of his face, it looked like a rhino has slapped his face with its ass. His right hand man by the name of sinister, a tall and callous man who was cruel and almost as evil as can be.
One morning I woke up to a commercial of a new robot that supposedly could clean I didn’t believe these gimmicks I always knew they were a terrible idea as the day went on I went to work as I am a part of the assembly line that constructs robots. I’ve seen the blueprints for future robots they’re said to be humane and friendly to the environment. The previous robots I have constructed were different; they had long sleek hands that could stretch for miles they were chromed with a red glowing speck were the heart of a human would be. After my shift I walked out of the factory and took a look out into the open and noticed the sky wasn’t blue it was turning yellow like the sun. The streets and roads were beginning to crack and split apart. It seemed as if the robots were just denying their job. As I got home I plopped down on my bed drastically tired I then fell asleep. A couple days had passed and I had meet up with serenity she had told me that she was noticing differences in the robots as well.
As life passed on I continuously kept noticing small but drastic changes in the sky and in the robots. One day the government issued new security drones that were created to enforce curfew after 11 p.m. One morning I decided to go and check what was happening to the robots. At my job tried to focus on the robots as I was constructing them. After work I tried sneaking into the boss’s office to take a glance at the project plans he had issued. Yet as hard as I tried I didn’t get far I only found some blueprints about the drones energy consumption. After a while I gave up on the search for my boss was suspicious about my absence in the line it was getting to become more and more dangerous. Then one day the boss called me into his office; but, as I recalled I noticed some documents on the floor. Those documents were the boss’s orders about constructing robots. I had finally found the plans I was looking for. The documents had the true identity of the robots and I discovered what they were planning to do, so I rushed over to serenity’s house and told her the truth about the robots and what they were planning to do to the world. I had told serenity
“I Know what Obeyed and Sinister are trying to do”
“’what do you mean” she replied
I then told her “They’re trying to rule the world with robots”
Once I told her, she looked shocked, as if she was about to have a heart attack. We stayed at serenity’s house until we found out the new robots were being sold. Once that time came there were millions of people who bought the new shiny, non-rusty metallic, buildable robots. The robots were okay as people were using them to cook, clean, built, and so forth. The old robots were replaced with the new robots and put into huge non clean crates. There for the new robots that weren’t sold they were put into huge clean crates. One night as I was walking along a narrow alley when I heard strange noises behind a trash can I looked over my shoulder and took a glance at the one of the robots it was charging at me I took a deep breath and tried to escape the savage robot it pounced on me and had thrown fist at my face the pain felt as if my face were on fire. After the robot had punched me I threw it over and began ripping its circuits that happened to be protruding from its back. After I overcame the robot I took a look at the components the plans I had discovered were true and I knew I had to stop them. A while had passed and I called up serenity and I told her what had happened.
    “What happened to you?”
    ”The robots” I mumbled
She asked “What did they do to you”
“I was in an alley and when I turned around it attacked me”
She too knew what we had to do as well I didn’t even need to explain what to do she took a glance at me and just nodded her head. As the day progressed me serenity were beginning to plan our assault on the factory I clocked in at 10:00 A.M as normal I had talked to my co-workers about the truth of the robots most called me insane and crazy but a few fellow workers had believed me and told them our plan they agreed. A few weeks later I strolled by the park when I noticed a group of men they too were into the theory of the robots I approached the men and they told me what had happened to them for some odd reason we all had the same similar experiences I had explained to them my story and they too were convinced about my plans and all agreed as well. As we were making our final preparations the rest of my men had arrived. We began our march to the factory , and I threw a rock at the window which caused it to shatter. The entire team started to destroy the factory and its machinery. As we progressed suddenly a robot appeared and began to attack us. then

  3. Danny walks through the door. He was tired— not merely tired, but exhausted from his long day at school, he strolls into the kitchen and grabs an ice cold glass of tea with some crunchy Doritos; then he slumps on to the sofa. He his surfing the channels on his TV; suddenly he hears screaming, cheering, and clapping of wild fans at a football game. Danny’s racing thoughts drown out the sound of the fans as he considers trying out for the high school team. The idea of him self trying out for the team was amazing—it was actually mind boggling—and he grinned. He just couldn’t resist the thought of becoming a high school foot ball star…
As Danny is tossing and turning in his bed trying to sleep, he is looking around his room and he crosses a giant poster of his idol, Jerry Rice the football hall of famer, and imagines how great would it be to be a pro NFL football player. As he thinks of all the awesome things a pro NFL player can do he drifts off to sleep. The next day at school; Danny is walking down the hall to his next class. He sees and quickly picks up a paper and reads it; it says “Football Tryouts September 7th come and try to make our varsity team.” Danny’s eyes get wide filled with joy as he thinks to himself; finally I get my chance to play football. His thoughts abruptly stopped when all of a sudden the big bad school bully Trent walks by and rips the paper out of his hands and says “Don’t even try it chump!” as he crumbles it up and shoots it into the trash can. Danny put his head down—slowly and walked to class.
“Come on.” “Come on bell ring already!” Danny shouts in his mind, while he sits in his 6th period class waiting anxiously taping his fingers on the desk– he stares at the clock like a cheetah would with its pray before pouncing. He is waiting to go home and start training for football tryouts. Although on the back of his mind, he is scared and still debating on when he should tell his dad about tryouts. His concern’s fly out of his mind as he rushes out of the classroom to the sound of the bell.
Danny takes the bus home thoughts of his dads responses are overflowing through his mind. He remembers past experience from his dad yelling and screaming at him over a simple question. So even considering asking his dad to play football is making hairs on his arms stand up. Danny spots his dad sitting on the couch drinking a beer and he notices he is drunk by how many beers are on the floor. Danny thinks it would be a perfect time to ask his dad about trying out.
Danny approaches his dad and nervously asks “Dad would it be alright if I tried out football?”
“Danny are you out of your god damn mind, you know you are a lazy piece of crap and you’ll never amount to anything in your life, I don’t see why you would even consider asking!” Jeff screams wildly.
“But dad I just want to play football like you did, and like my idol Jerry Rice.” He said mumbling.
His dad yelling, “Danny you are not capable of playing football, how do you even know if you will make the damn team anyways? You will break like a twig out there!”
“Dad you never know the answer to something unless you try.” Danny said almost crying
“Danny I have had enough of you, get out of my face just leave like your mother did, do whatever the hell you want but I’m letting you know you are way too small and will never make the team!” His dad violently yelled at him.
Danny has waterfalls streaming down his face as he slumps to his room. He lies on his bed and cries himself to sleep. All of a sudden, in his dream he is talking to his idol Jerry Rice.
“Danny, don’t give up because you miss 100% of the shots you don’t take.” Jerry told Danny.
Danny sadly says “But Jerry, my dad and the big bully Trent made fun of me and told me I was too small.”
“Danny don’t listen to what people say, don’t let words bring you down” Jerry happily said.
“Jerry I just can’t do it; I will never be good enough!” Danny says as he is crying.
Danny can see his ghostly figure as Jerry is fading away, lastly he says…
    “Never say never.”
Three days later; as try outs are approaching, Danny as been thinking about what is idol Jerry told him. Danny came to a final conclusion that he will try out. With the money he has saved up; he goes to Big 5 to buy some cleats. Unfortunately for Danny he runs into the big bad bully Trent.
“What the hell are you doing here I thought I said don’t even think about trying out, I guess I didn’t make myself clear enough for you!” Trent said pushing him into a pile of bats.
Danny stands up, chest high, fist clinched so tight veins popping out he says proudly “I can do whatever I put my mind too.”
Trent shakes his head, rolls his eyes, smoke coming out of his ears and stomps away mad as can be. The next day at tryouts Trent looks at Danny and says “you are brave for showing up.”
One month later at their first football game. They are down by six. It’s in the fourth quarter. With one minute left. They are stopped with no timeouts remaining. Third down, crowd screaming, they try to run the ball up the middle, but stopped short of the first down. You hear mixed emotions in the air from the fans ahhhing and cheering. The clock is still running. Coach yells “Danny you’re in!!”
Dun-dun dun-dun dun-dun Danny’s heart as its banging out of his chest. Click, click, click, as you hear the time ticking. Rapidly, almost shaking, step by step, he runs on to the field. The crowd slowly dies out in his mind. He looks around in awe—amazed by how many people are there. The quarterback shouts “Danny hurry up!” Danny lines up as wide receiver. The seconds remaining feel like hours.
    “Down……..seeeeetttt….hhhiiiikkkeee!”
Danny sprints down the sideline. The defense rushes at the quarterback. He launches the ball deep down in the end zone. Danny, wide open, puts his hands up. It’s dead silent; you can hear the ball whistling through the air. Quickly, in a heart beat, one by one, the crowd stands. Screaming, some crying as Danny hits the floor.
“Danny, I’m sorry for bringing you down. You can be what you put your mind to son. I have nothing but respect for you now by you not giving up. I will always love you no matter what happens in life. I love you son.” His eyes tearing as he tells Danny the next day. Danny was proud of him self, he felt respected and encouraged.
Six years later, Danny is drafted in the NFL, playing for the San Diego Chargers.

  4. 1. You’re so full of excuses, Allie!” Cody shouted with rage. I bit my lower lip nervously; we sat in the deserted coffee shop. I had never seen him so upset before…
    “How?” I questioned timidly.
My voice was as tiny as a mouse. He glared at me for a moment, rolling his eyes, “Forget it, you’re practically whipped, and you just don’t understand.” I zoned out, my emotions stirring inside of me, making me sick to my stomach. I glanced out the window at pouring rain in the dark streets of San Diego. I thought back to the beginning, when everything was fine. When I wasn’t expected to make this huge decision. I never meant for things to turn out this way or go this far. I made the wrong choice…
I zoned out to the beginning of October; the leaves were changing into autumn colors and falling from the trees. The air was crisp as I opened up my window to the morning light, and the ocean breeze greeted me. I smiled, for I had felt that something good was headed my way. I licked my lips and turned to my white-wood dresser, picking out an outfit for the day. I could hear the buzzing vibrations rumbling on my nightstand as my phone had received a text message; it was Zach.
“Party tonight at the Keller’s house at 9; I’m picking you up at 8. Be ready. ” I sighed, already aware of how this night would go; Zach drinking too much and I saying “No”, which meant some other girl, would be his night’s delight. But hey, I had self-respect… I had values.
I shook my head, tossing the phone aside, and pulling out my favorite pair of black skinny jeans and a long-sleeved shirt. After quickly getting showered and dressed, I grabbed my little black bag, my phone, and my keys and headed out my dorm. Locking the door behind me, I felt someone wrap their arms around me, pressing soft lips against my skin. I smiled briefly, turning my head to see Zach, with that bright million dollar smile on his face.
    “Hey baby,” he said slyly.
    “Hey,” I responded bleakly.
Now, to be completely honest, there were always times like this when Zach would come and surprise me with a kiss on the neck and a hug from behind, yet I always imagined it possibly being someone else—someone who cared about me truly with a deep sense of passion; instead of this “puppy love”.

“You seem a tad…Sweaty?” I commented, as we began walking down the hallway of the dormitory. He took my hand in his, holding it tightly like I was his prisoner.

“Yeah, ha, just got back from skating with Cody,” He opened the door for us as we exited the building, Walking along the sidewalk of San Diego University’s clean campus grounds. The name Cody made my heart race a little, like it always did for some reason.
Later that night after a day of classes with Zach, we headed to the Keller’s house which was close to the campus. Holding hands, we walked through the front door, and the music was already blasting and people were buzzed; obvious in their slurred speeches. Our hands unconnected as Blake Keller came and greeted Zach with a high five. As usual, I stood there awkwardly looking around for a familiar (sober) face. I didn’t see Cody anywhere; though he was Blake’s roommate and Blake was huge partier, I’m surprised Cody even accepted the roommate request.
“Babe, I’m going to go get a drink… Want anything?” Zach asked, pulling away a bit.
I shook my head, “No” and Zach rolled his eyes, rudely commenting, “Yeah, right, I forgot you’re a nark.”
I frowned, shaking my head in ignorance, then walking through the crowd of dancing idiots. I felt a pinch of anxiety as I tried to search for someone I would know in the crowd; yet, I didn’t recognize one person, until I saw a friend of mine, Savannah. I paused in my tracks for a moment, examining her. She was wearing a black tank top, rolled up so her bellybutton was visible, denim mini skirt, and black boots. I admired her looks though; her beauty, she had clear skin, and basically the perfect model figure. Her exotic ocean-colored eyes then looked in my direction, and she smiled a perfect smile at me. Waving back, I headed in her direction.
“Allie-bear!” She squealed, flipping her sunshine blonde hair over her shoulder.
“Hey Sav,” I half smiled, feeling like a piece of rubble, compared to her diamond looks.
“Where’s Zachy!?” She asked, looking around like a lost child.
I shrugged, and she got the hint that I wasn’t in such a playful mood.
“Well… I’m gonna go get a drink, toodles!” She disappeared into the crowd, and left me alone.
I looked around again, then giving up on trying to find someone, I decided to sneak away upstairs to Cody’s room; figuring he must not have been home if there was a major party. I opened the door to Cody’s room, surprisingly enough finding him sitting on his bed with his iPod on, and a book at hand. He looked up as I shut the door behind me; he smiled welcomingly and took his earphones out, setting his book aside.
“Allie! I didn’t think you’d come tonight.” He exclaimed happily, getting up and giving me a warm hug.
“Ha, yeah, I didn’t think I’d be here either, but… you know Zach.” I said, wrapping my arms around him.
“Well c’mon, sit down with me, knowing Zach, he’ll probably be here for hours.” Cody said, pulling away and sitting on the floor beside his bed. I sat beside him, and gazed at him, his vibrant hazel eyes meeting mine. I felt my heart skip beats. I felt goose bumps rise on my skin. I felt a butterfly sensation in my gut, and I just knew that this couldn’t be some little crush.
“So, I hope we’re okay after last weekend…” Cody said, a bit of shame in his eyes as he spoke.
I nodded slowly, thinking back to last weekend when we did have a bit of a fling. The thought his lips on mine, his arms around me, the comfort of his bed; we didn’t go all the way, but it still brought an ounce of guilt to me whenever I kissed Zach.
We took a seat on the edge of his bed, and his hand touched my arm. I shuttered nervously, my cheeks flushed a vibrant red.
    “Allie,” Cody said softly.
    “Hm?”
“I… Don’t regret it, kissing you.”
My eyes opened a little wider, “You don’t..?”
He shook his head, then slowly caressing my face with the back of his hand. I felt safe and secure in his presence; unlike Zach. Time seemed to slow down, because before I knew it, we were kissing passionately. His lips were sweet as candy. Soon, both our hands were exploring one another’s body; and we were laying back on his bed. Naturally, one thing led to another…
Moments later, I was snuggled up to Cody, warm under his navy blue blankets; safe in his arms. It was then that we heard footsteps coming down the hallway; the sound of muffled laughing. I froze in fear, realizing that one: the door wasn’t locked, and the party was near-over. A sudden rush of guilt took over me, and I scuttled out of bed, gathering my clothes and getting dressed. Cody did the same; knowing already what the issue was.
He seemed agitated, and it worried me.
As I pulled on my pants, I paused; listening to the voices in the hallway.
“You know, you’re such an amazing dancer..” One male’s voice slurred.
“Ha, all those dance classes; you’re not so bad yourself.” A female responded, giggling.
I focused on the voices… They almost sounded like…
Just then, Savannah and Zach popped into the room. Hand in hand. Eyes opened wide like a deer caught in headlights. I couldn’t believe it, I was outraged! I grabbed my shoes off the ground, and stormed out of the room furiously, pushing past Savannah and Zach. I darted down the stairs, and out the door, pushing past the drunkards. This wasn’t the first time Zach had been so selfish; being with another girl in front of me, but my own friend!?
“Allie! Allie!” Zach rushed after me, shouting through the crowd. I ignored his cries, wiping my eyes as they began to fill with tears. I felt guilt, I felt anger, and most of all I felt confused. Confused about what I was in for; sleeping with Cody, yet being upset about seeing Zach with someone else. How was that fair?
“Allie!” Zach called out again, finally catching up and grabbing my arm, swinging me around to face him.
“What!?” I spat at him, tears rolling down my cheeks.
“Nothing happened! Savannah was drunk, and we were looking for you!”
“Oh yeah, holding hands, sure looked like it!”
“Whatever Allie, I always put up with your Cody crap!” He yelled, “At least when Savannah puts out, she does it with a bit of dignity, instead of going behind my back! Seriously, just own up to it, Allie! You’ve had a thing for Cody, and just been lying to me!”
I clenched my hand into a tight fist; rage boiling in me. “Like you don’t do anything wrong!? You walked into that bedroom for a reason, Zach! ‘Looking for me’, please!”
“Ha, maybe if you did a little more for me, like Savannah, I wouldn’t be so ignorant of you!”
    That was it.
I pulled my arm away from him, and shoved him back; turning on my heels and taking off with a sprint down the street.

The next morning came like a crash of cold water on my face; reminding me of the troubles from the night before. I looked up at my ceiling deep in thought. I loved Zach… I felt like I was in a secure relationship; we had talked about marriage and a future together, and we knew what we wanted in life, but I just don’t feel like I love him the same way I did when we talked about all those things.

All of a sudden, a quick hit of nausea hit me, and I jumped out of bed and ran to the bathroom. Leaning over the toilet, I pulled my hair away from my face and puked. Coughing a few times, I wiped my mouth with the back of my hand.

“Ugh, disgu-“My eyes opened wide in fear before I could finish my sentence. It couldn’t be possible…

    I couldn’t be pregnant… Could I?

I returned back to my dorm moments later with a pregnancy test bought from the nearest CVS Pharmacy. Reading the directions carefully, I tore open the box and took the test; waiting for what seemed like forever. My phone alarm went off as two minutes passed, and I looked at the test results…

    “Negative.”

I sighed with relief, must just be sick with stress.

Knock, knock; the knocking at my dorm room’s door startled me, dropping the test into the trashcan. I opened the door to see Zach, his eyes locking with mine.

“Babe,” He paused, looking down with solemn; “I’m sorry.”

I opened my mouth to speak, but could not find the words to explain myself. I let him in, and he took a seat on the edge of my bed. This was us; we would fight and the next day everything would be okay. Abruptly, the sharp pain of guilt twisted in my gut as the kiss between Cody and I played in my head. I sat down beside Zach, and he took my hand in his, holding it gently. I bit my lower lip, avoiding his gaze as he tried to lock eyes with mine. The guilt began to show all over me; as if it was written in ink across my ivory skin, but Zach was to incoherent to realize something was wrong.

“I just want to apologize for last night, Allie.” Zach’s tone was draped in sorrow and regret. I could feel his eyes on me as I kept my gaze locked on the beige rug beneath my feet.

“It’s fine, honestly.” I lied through my teeth; anything to get him to leave. My head was beginning to spin.

“Why are you being so distant, babe?” He asked, scooting a little closer to me. I shuttered, pulling my hand away from his and into my lap.

“I just don’t feel like talking to anyone right now, Zach… I wish to be alone.” I muttered hesitantly.

He shook his head and rolled his eyes; annoyed.

“Whatever, I’ll leave you alone then. Can I use your bathroom?” He asked, standing up. I nodded, looking up at him, barely meeting his eyes. He walked into my bathroom, shutting the door behind him and I pulled my cellphone out of my pocket, texting Cody to meet me at the local campus coffee shop where he worked during school nights. I heard some shuffling through the door; my heart began to race with anxiety and my palms began to sweat. Zach flushed the toilet, washed his hands, and the door opened slowly… He was holding a small white stick in his hand, reading it.

“What.. What the heck is this!?” He scolded.

I opened my mouth to speak, but he interrupted me; “Why would you be taking a pregnancy test, when we haven’t ever even done anything that far!?” His voice was angry and hurt.

“I can explain, Zach!” Tears dwelled in my eyes as I tried to think of a good defense.

“Yeah, I’m sure you can… To someone who is dumb enough to believe anymore of your pathetic lies!”

“I… Zach, please! I’m sorry! I love you!”

“So then who’s the guy!? C’mon, be honest if you love me so much!”

    “It… It shouldn’t m-matter!”

Zach tossed the test into the trashcan, and headed for the door. He meant so much to me, and I was the one that let my own stupidity and selfishness get in the way of what we could have been…

  5. The blood was running down the side of my head, I was in shock—she stabbed me! Slowly, painfully, and with so much agony, I rose to my quivering feet. My cheeks were as red as the blood dripping down my face, I was so embarrassed. It was as if the entire school had witnessed what had just happened, their laughs echoed throughout the cafeteria.

My name is Bella Hastings, I’m the queen bee at Venice High School. This school is my school and I’m not about to let this new girl, Julissa, change that or even get in my way. She came to my school thinking she could steal my boyfriend and friends. She must be mentally ill if she thinks she’ll get away with it. I’m tired of all
After days that seemed like years the rage building up in me had unleashed and i yelled furiosly, calling her out infront of everyone. I threw the first punch, but little did i know that she played dirty and thrusted the sharp end of a pencil across the side of my head.

Hi. Miss Roark here. I love the way you start this story. It’s in the middle of things — which is exactly the perfect way to start a story. I loved the use of the word “quivering.” There is a comma splice in the first paragraph.
In the second paragraph, there is another comma splice and some capitalization issues. However, I love this paragraph. You have such a good voice. I felt like I was reading a professional story in a book store or in a literary journal. It was an excellent paragraph.
The third paragraph has some excellent vivid description. However, I wondered whether you flashback back to an earlier time? Maybe with Julissa trying to steal her boyfriend? But maybe this doesn’t go with the story. I’m not sure, because I haven’t read the plot diagram.
I thought that you could add a little dialogue to this. But overall it was pretty good. Keep writing!

  6. “50 cents” the bus driver would say everyday to the peopel boarding the six o,clock sun bus. This was an everyday routine for Alan Baker the sun bus driver. He did not like it one bit but it was all that he had so he put up with it for now.Beep … his alarm clock rang and that was the begginig of his day.
As he got up this morning he had an unusally werid jovial felling. But he ignored it and went on to begin his day. At his 12 o,clock break he meet up with his freind Chuckey Brown too have a lunch as they allways do. But today Chuckey seemed very happy “he had a story to tell me”he said it was about how he bought 20 dollars in lottery tickets and won 500 dollars in all. I was amazed to think he had actually won and then he said “hey you look lucky Alan you shoud try” I tought to myself.

  7. The boy’s eyes flickered opened and then tightened up once more as the unwelcomed brightness of the unfamiliar room streamed through his lids. The walls were white. The floor was white. The room was white; much like a hospital room, except he knew this was no sanctuary for the ill. It was much more sinister than that.
“What is this place?” he thought as he hoisted his tired body into an upright sitting position. “Where am I?”
His dark eyes darted across the room taking in the nerve wracking scene. The floor he had awoken on was cold and numbed his fingers to a chill as his hands attempted to use it as a grip for dear life. An assortment of deadly knives and murderous machetes lied sprawled out on a metal slab table adjacent to him and on his side, to his left, laid the peaceful, delicate, yet pin-straight and unconscious body of his younger sister, Ember. Her auburn locks had lost their luster and laid limp and sprawled out around her head as her chest kept rhythmic movements to her breathing, other than that, she did not move a muscle.
“How did I get here?” the boy wondered as he rubbed his burning, light blinded eyes. Then The memories of the morning had stormed back to him. They were foggy, but he could recall them, distant, but reachable.
It had been a stale, dry morning, like something fermented pulled out of the back of Mother Nature’s pantry, an essence of a previous uneventful day. He had been awoken by his younger sister and at the sound of her voice he had lifted his pillow out from under his head and launched it toward her. This was the spark of a huge outbreak of quarry. Most of his memory of the morning was just screaming, yelling, pushing, and shoving, but then nothing after the fight. What had he missed?
The boy crawled across the floor and made his way over to his sister.
“Ember, wake up!” he coaxed as he shook her violently, but she didn’t budge. “Ember, come on, get up!” he pleaded once more. With another violent shake Ember’s eyes had fluttered open. She winced at the bright light, but once her vision became clear she made out her brother, Saxon’s, face hovering above her own. She lifted her hands and shoved him away from her with a single push.
“Get out of my face, Saxon!” she squealed. Obviously, even if Saxon hadn’t remembered the events of this morning, Ember definitely did. Then her expression of irritation faded into alarm as she took in her surroundings. Confusion melted over her face. “Saxon, where are we?”
    “I don’t know,” he replied.

  9. Just do it.

Those words echoed through my head as I patrolled the alley to go meet Gumby. I never thought I would be pressured into doing this, deliberately placing myself in this harmful environment. I was never frowned upon, I was actually a unique individual. Lacrosse and football were the only two things I would focus on in my spare time and church every Sunday was a routine, never did I think this would be what I wanted to do so desperately. I thought I was better than this, but it’s not like this would hurt anybody— besides me, at least thats what I always thought. Shifty and I approached Gumby, who was in the alley that was across the street from the drug store that Rick worked at… my close friend. The three of us jumped into the car, with someone who appeared to be a friend of Gumby’s. As I lay there- helpless, and buckle my seat belt I raised my head only to see a joint waiting for me. Well it’s just one hit… whats the worst that could happen.

    “The usual?” muttered Gumby.

“Yeah bro,” Shifty stated with a glimpse of anticipation.

Gumby’s friend was driving, eventually we ended up pulling to the side of the road were we got out, and began to walk. I didn’t know where we were headed, but Shifty did. Shifty is my best friend and one of the most trustworthy person I have ever known, he always had my back and wouldn’t do anything to put me in harms way— at least that’s what I thought. He walked with the courage as if he had everything planned out. Walking, i look up and mounted infront of me, was an abandoned house.

“here we are.” Shifty announced with a smile so wicked, just glooming across his face.

We entered the house, and stepped on the crecky woodin floor, giving this house an unusual feeling. We soon began to smoke, I had no idea what was all in it, but theres no need to ask questions. After one inhale of this noxious gas, I fainted, not for long.. from what i could remember. It seemed like just a brief, short moment. Inhaleing this, what seems like a beautiful, hypnotizing but pure substance i start going into a daze. Performing a fake smile, stoping is the last thing on my mind. The feeling of a joy, possess’ my body, all i desire in this moment is getting more of this glourios disease.

  10. The needle protruded her vain as she injected the poisonous venom; intersecting with her train of thought. Blackness of colors delusion her mind, making spins of happiness delude her mind into a fake satisfaction. It was a feeling beyond feeling, not like she was on a cloud, but she was the cloud. Light weight floating through the brilliant blue sky, looking through the other brethren translucent clouds.
    It never lasts forever.
Elly had just awoken from her very vivid high. Awoken, laying on an ultimately dirty bean bag. The smell revved in her nose from all the trash a vomit that deluded “fort of release”
Elly squinted her eyes—trying to, but never will—see in the dark. She finally had control of her body—well for the most part. Her skin was pale, not a natural pale, but a sickening pale, like snow, additionally a gray pale.
Dylan had always been there for Elly, but he wasn’t the greatest influence on her. The day Ellly met Dylan was the day she started injecting.
Elly was at her little sisters birthday party at the park. The sun was just setting as she and her mother had just gotten into an argument, so she decided to take a walk around the park. As she was walking by the skate section, she saw him; he was tall, tan, and handsome with dark brown wavy hair. He had a tattoo of a skull on his left arm. He was staring at her for about a minute, as if he recognized her. He waved and called her over. She slowly started making her way to him.
    “Hey!”
    “Hi, I’m Elly.”
“Cute name. I’m Dylan.” he responded as he reached his hand over to shake hers. It was quiet for a moment. All Elly could do was stare into his gleaming hazel eyes. She noticed how he constantly played with his lip piercing with his tongue.
    “You want some?”
Elly looked into his hands, not knowing exactly what it was, but knowing what she saw wasn’t safe, and it wasn’t the right thing, but she didn’t care. She had been through so much lately and it was time to get her mind off of things.
“Sure.” she replied carelessly. That’s all she ever really remembered from that day, but from that day on, Dylan and Elly spend almost every day together

Pedro finds Elly in the alley lay down on a beaten up bean bag. Pedro picks Elly up. As Elly can bearly stand up they start heading to Elly’s house. As they arrive to her house. Perdo drops her off at her house. Pedro returns to Elly’s house. To ask her about what happened yesterday

  11. It was a cold snowy morning in New York City. The only radiant colors were of the honking yellow taxis, and the ancient chewing gum pasted to the sidewalk. The fumes of the passing cars filled the air with a horrid scent. The rumbling of the subways shook the ground; which made for a hectic morning.

It was another unpleasant morning for Paul as he woke up at 7:00 am from his bed on the 23rd floor of his penthouse suite in New York City. He crawls out of his spacious lonely bed, not looking forward to the day ahead of him. He staggers to the mirror, looking the same as any other day, tall, slender and his eyes the color of the hundred dollar bills that fill his wallet. He splashes water on his face and slicks back his hair. Ready to go to work, he grabs his black leather satchel and steps into the elevator. The elevator conductor punches the lighted button with a star to take him down to the lobby.

  12. There she was, ready to throw every last piece of her life away. It was a cold afternoon, rain danced to and fro in the gusting wind. Her frigid hands touched the even colder metal. The bumpy surface reminded her of her life, worthless, no hope. It was half past four, but the sun was covered over by the raging storm. The storm of her life was worse by far. It was only a few days ago, the beginning of her end.
It was a typical cold winter day in New York City, the citizens living their normal routine lives. Her name was Lorain Tessa Josephs, she was 5’6 with eyes the color of the deep blue New York Harbor, Oh how she loved visiting the harbor with her father when she was younger. She was willing to give up the harbor, everything she had ever known and cared about because she loved him, her boyfriend. Well, her boyfriend up until a couple of days ago that is.
She was getting ready for the day, the typical routine; when she was done she walked out of her house to meet her lover. they walked pashntly
